Thiacetazone (Thioacetazone) is a thiourea-containing antitubercular agent and is an orally active antibiotic. Thiacetazone has antibacterial action, which inhibits growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv with a MIC value of 0.1 microg/mL [1] .
