Thio-ITP (6-Thioinosine 5-triphosphate) is an RNA polymerase activity competitive inhibitor. Thio-ITP has a high apparent affinity for the polymerases (RNA polymerase I Ki: 40.9 microM; RNA polymerase II Ki: 38.0 microM)[1].
