Tumor necrosis factor

The TNF-alpha (Human) Chemiluminescent ELISA Detection Kit is a sandwich ELISA assay designed for detecting and quantifying human TNF-alpha (Tumor necrosis factor alpha) in cell culture medium. This kit comes with enough anti-TNF-alpha capture and detection antibodies, TNF-alpha standard, and detection reagents for 100 or 5 x 100 enzyme reactions. A 96-well plate is coated with an anti-TNF-alpha capture antibody. After coating and blocking, samples containing TNF-alpha are added. Next, unbound TNF-alpha are washed away, and the plate is incubated with biotinylated TNF-alpha detection antibody. After another wash, streptavidin-HRP is added. After a final wash, ELISA ECL substrate is added to produce chemiluminescence that can be measured using a chemiluminescence reader. The chemiluminescence signal is proportional to the amount of TNF-alpha in the samples.
