- Scientific DescriptionTSPAN1 Protein is a member of the tetraspanin (TSPAN/TM4SF) family of proteins whose important feature is their ability to aggregate with one another or various other transmembrane receptors, to become TSPAN-enriched microdomains (TEMs). TSPAN1 functions as an oncoprotein in many cancer types, especially digestive malignancies such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), pancreatic, gastric, colorectal, and esophageal cancers. TSPAN1 is a novel positive regulator of macroautophagy/autophagy characterized by decreased LC3-II and SQSTM1/p62 expressions, inhibited puncta formation of GFP-LC3 and autophagic vacuoles[1][2][3]. TSPAN1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived TSPAN1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-His labeled tag.
