GDP-L-fucose synthase

The TSTA3 protein plays a key role in catalyzing the two-step NADP-dependent conversion of GDP-4-dehydro-6-deoxy-D-mannose to GDP-fucose. The process involves successive epimerase and reductase reactions, ultimately leading to the biosynthesis of GDP-fucose.
