UBP301 hydrochloride is a potent and selective antagonist of kainate receptor with IC 50 and K D of 164 microM and 5.94 microM, respectively. UBP301 hydrochloride has ~30-fold selectivity of kainate receptor over AMPA receptor. UBP301 hydrochloride is the derivative of willardiine [1] .
