The original antibody specifically reacted with keratinizing stratified epithelia and squamous cell carcinomas derived from these by IHC (Ramaekers et al. 1983; PMID: 6350235). The antibody stained cytokeratin 10 from cultured human keratinocytes by immunohistochemistry (Muijen et al, 1987; PMID: 2442018). This antibody was used for detection of cytokeratin 10 in psoriatic skin and normal skin by flow cytometry (van Erp et al., 1989; PMID: 2479273). The antibody detected cytokeratin 10 from human foreskin keratin preparation, by western blot analysis (Ramaekers et al., 1990; PMID: 1690512).
