The antibody detected desmin in western blot analysis. The original antibody showed staining pattern of desmin in BHK cells (Quax et al., 1985; PMID: 3855248). The antibody stained desmin on smooth muscle cells of rat prostatic tissue by indirect immunofluorescence (Verhagen et al., 1988; PMID: 2458583).
