High Levels of PrP (Prion Protein) are found in the brain of humans and animals that are infected with transmissible spongiform encephalopathies such as Creutzfeld-Jakob disease (CJD), Gerstmann-Straussler disease in humans or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in cattle.
