  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody recognises human Spectrin which is a cytoskeletal protein creating scaffolding of the plasma membrane.
  • Application Supplier Note
IHC: RG/26 antibody was used to stain membranes of iRBCs infected with a parasite in a study which investigated influence of vascular endothelial growth factor on red cells infected with Plasmodium falciparum (Sachanonta et al., 2008). WB: This antibody was also used in Western blot analysis to assess free and degraded spectrin as an element of a study which aimed at investigating the infuence of constant storage temperatures and multiplewarming cycles on stored red blood cells (Wagner et al., 2014).
