The binding reactivity of this antibody to recombinant phosphorylated pSTAT3 peptide was confirmed using ELISA. The binding reactivity was further confirmed using western blot, of STAT3 protein IFN-alpha-treated cells. The scFv version of this antibody was used fused to human IgG1 using a suitable linker for the generation of scFv-Fc mini-antibody. This minibody was capable of immunoprecipitating pSTAT3 in the cell lysate of HeLa cells treated with IFN-alpha (US20090233358).
