Untreated (-) and treated (+) HeLa whole cell extracts (30 microg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with Glycogen synthase 1 (phospho Ser641) antibody [GT1284] (GTX03196) diluted at 1:500. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

  • Protein IDP13807
  • Protein Name
    Glycogen [starch] synthase, muscle
  • Scientific Description
The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the addition of glucose monomers to the growing glycogen molecule through the formation of alpha-1,4-glycoside linkages. Mutations in this gene are associated with muscle glycogen storage disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
