- Scientific DescriptionLuteolin (Luteolol) is a natural flavonoid that is a modulator of Nrf2. Luteolin exhibits dual regulation of Nrf2. In tumour cells, low concentrations of Luteolin activate the Nrf2 signalling pathway and promote Nrf2 nuclear translocation, while high concentrations of Luteolin inhibit Nrf2 activity and negatively modulate the Nrf2/ARE signalling pathway. Luteolin is also a PDE inhibitor. In addition, Luteolin has a variety of biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and neuroprotection. Luteolin can be used in studies related to ferroptosis.
