- Application Supplier NoteTissue factor (TF), one of the cell-surface initiators of blood coagulation and has been identified as a critical controlling molecule in hemostasis, thrombosis and inflammation. This antibody is recommended for detection of tissue factor in a blood sample. This is a non neutralizing antibody, which is capable of binding human tissue factor heavy chain protein but does not neutralize the ability of tissue factor to initiate coagulation. This antibody was used to study the interaction between factor VII and tissue factor in solution using ELISA (PMID: 1874730). This antibody is also reported to be used to target TF pathway as a possible treatment strategy for glioblastoma therapy (PMID: 23384223). This antibody was used to study expression of TF in human glioma using immunofluorescence staining for identification of TF in U251 glioma cell line, normal brain specimens, and glioma surgical specimens (PMID: 12135696). This antibody was also used in the detection of TF in normal and abnormal human mammary glands using immunohistochemistry (PMID: 1514249).
