This antibody binds the human mesothelin protein which is highly expressed in many human cancers, including the majority of pancreatic adenocarcinomas, ovarian cancers, and mesotheliomas.

This antibody is recommended to be used in combination with mAb IC14-30 for detecting mesothelin with high sensitivity in a capture ELISA. This antibody can also immunoprecipitate recombinant mesothelin. NCI-H226 and NCI-H520 were incubated with anti-MSLN antibodies (11-25 ) or an isotype-matched control antibody and followed by PE-conjugate anti mouse IgG. Antigen expression was detected by flow cytometry (PMID: 18394747). 64Cu labelled 11-25 was used in vitro cell binding assay and in vivo positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in the tumor-bearing mice (PMID: 25883990).
