The antibody is specific for MYOD1. It acts as a transcriptional activator that promotes transcription of muscle-specific target genes and plays a role in muscle differentiation.

The antibody 6F4-2D7 and the commercial antibody 5.8a were used for transverse muscle injury immunogenization staining. Results showed the antibody specificity is superior to commercially available antibody 5.8a, and it improved the accuracy of diagnosis (CN109354626B).
