  • Scientific Description
Monoclonal Antibody. Recognizes human omentin. Isotype: Mouse IgG2bkappa. Clone: Lecty-1. Applications: ELISA, WB. Liquid. In PBS containing 10% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. Omentin (Intelectin-1) is highly expressed in omental adipose tissue, small intestine and various other tissues. Omentin has no effect on basal glucose uptake but enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes. It increases AKT phosphorylation in the absence and presence of insulin. It was suggested to play a role in the defense system against microorganisms by recognizing carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues. - Omentin (Intelectin-1) is highly expressed in omental adipose tissue, small intestine and various other tissues.
