The binding of this antibody to human CD72 expressed on the surface of Ramos Burkitts lymphoma cells and hCD72 transfected L929 cells was determined using flow cytometry. This antibody was also used in the immunohistochemical staining of frozen sections of various human tissues expressing human CD72. Internalization assays with Ramos Burkitts lymphoma cells were performed in order to determine the internalizing capacity of this antibody. It was reported that this antibody is capable of being internalized and are resistant to protease treatment (WO2004067569).
