This pan-alphav antibody is specific for the extracellular domain (amino acids 31 - 992) of the alphav chain in all alphav-containing heterodimeric complexes.

This pan-alphav-specific antibody has been used to detect alphav integrin chains using ELISA and on Western blots (Goodman et al, 2012), and to specifically stain alphav integrins in FFPE/TMA material (Goodman et al, 2012; Silginer et al, 2016; Roth et al, 2013). Murine antibodies are typically unable to detect FFPE-embedded integrins.
